Enter a range of UK vehicle registration numbers below, and click the button. Use hyphens to indicate a continuous range, and forward slashes to indicate discontinuous registrations. A space between the two halves is optional in the input; it will appear in the output regardless.
Examples: T988/889-99/990/901-7KLF, ONN 271-95M, LTZ 1001-1500, YJ12 GXA-O/ZG-L.
Shorter groupings placed after longer ones will be treated as shorthand and automatically expanded, for example the 99 and the 7 in the first example, or the O, ZG and L in the final one. This expansion is performed in both continuous and discontinuous cases, but the latter can be overridden by ticking the box, so for example R401-5/46/407-10 FFC would be interpreted as including R46 FFC with the box ticked, rather than R446 FFC without.
When incrementing letters in a batch of new-style registrations, I and Q are always skipped, and the second letter of the prefix is skipped by default in the third position. For example, the fourth example above would not output YJ12 GXJ or YJ12 GZJ. This behaviour can be overridden by explicitly including them, e.g. YJ12 GXA-H/J/K-O. Finally, triple letters (e.g. BBB) are also skipped by default; again, this can be overridden by explicitly including them.
